Matrice 200 / 210 Parachute with Automatic Trigger System

The Fruity Chutes Matrice 200 and Matrice 210 Automatic Emergency Drone Parachute is lightweight, easy to use, and reliable.

Designed with ease of use in mind, you can pack and load the parachute yourself; you do not need to send back to the manufacturer after use.  The parachute system can be used many times.  A parachute rigger jig is included to make folding and packing the parachute easy.

To launch the parachute the bundle provides the Harrier parachute launcher.  The Harrier features a high energy compression spring that ejects the parachute out and away from the Matrice 200 quickly.  The launcher has no regulatory or transportation limitations so you can take your Matrice 200/210 with your Fruity Chutes parachute system anywhere you want.

The centerpiece of the parachute system is the Fruity Chutes Iris Ultra Light chute weighing just 4.8oz (135g). The parachute has a nominal rating of 13.6 lbs (6.2Kg) @ 15 feet per second (4.6Mps) descent rate after deployment providing a nice gentle landing.  The parachute can easily work at heavier load weights of 10Kg or more allowing you to use optional heavier cameras or batteries without worry.

The parachute system is entirely self-contained, and not reliant on the Matrice 200 power so it works even if the copter’s battery has a complete failure.  The automatic trigger system (ATS) can detect if the drone suddenly falls, rolls, or flips.  Detection of a fall typically takes just 0.75 seconds, or about 16 feet of free fall.  By the time the pilot notices a problem, the parachute will already be ejected.

The Skycat Rescue Radio is based on the Team Black Sheep Crossfire 250mw transmitter (1W also available) and the TBS Nano receiver. The system uses 868MHz (EU, Russia) or 915MHz (USA, Asia, Australia). When combined with the ATS the parachute can be both automatically deployed in case of a failure, or manually deployed by the pilot in command in case the pilot looses contact with the drone, such as a flyaway. Operation other than 2.4 Ghz allows the rescue radio, and the Matrice transmitter to avoid interference.

Iris Ultra Light 66 inch Parachute

Iris Ultra Light parachutes are perfect for applications where ultra low weight and compact packing volume are important.  While the parachute is very lightweight, strength is not sacrificed.  The parachute features 8 shroud lines each rated at a 200lb break strength.  The parachute bridle uses 1000lb Spectra.  The overall break strength of the parachute is about 1000lbs of pull force so you can have complete confidence that the parachute can handle any situation without failure.

Harrier Launcher

This Harrier launcher is ideal for the DJI Matrice 200 and larger drones. The bundle uses the light weight Harrier 56mm launcher paired with the IFC-66-SUL parachute. Bundle includes everything needed to recover a multirotor or other UAS of 14 lbs (6.2 Kg) nominal weight. Maximum recommended UAS weight is 28 lbs (12.4 Kg).

Automatic Trigger System Controller (ATS)

The ATS functionality is provided by the MAYDAY controller by MARS Parachutes.  The MAYDAY monitors your flight envelope and will automatically deploy the parachute if it detects out of bounds activity such as a sudden fall, loss of a rotor or motor, or other malfunction. Detection of a fall typically takes just 0.75 seconds, or about 16 feet of free fall. Flight controller connections are not required with the MAYDAY.

Skycat Rescue Radio

Skycat Rescue Radio is a professional radio system designed with just one dedicated goal in mind: to eject your Skycat parachute system with full confidence. It’s also compatible with many other parachute systems on the market.

NOTE: Thorough ground testing of this product is strongly recommended before flying to be sure everything seems to work properly. Also follow the calibration procedure to be sure the unit can properly detect non-level flight attitudes.
