Description
microLink BVLOS C2 Data Link by uAvionix.
microLink is an FCC (USA) and IC (Canada) approved, aviation-grade, Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Command and Control (C2) datalink radio specifically designed for long-range, mission-critical UAS operations.
It is the only solution when integrity and performance are critical to your mission.
Aviation Grade Technology
microLink is the ONLY commercially available C2 radio developed with aviation heritage. uAvionix developed microLink to ASTM Standard F3002-14a, using RTCA DO-178 and DO-254 Design Assurance methodologies.
Make no mistake, microLink is a critical avionics system for your UAS.
microLink BVLOS C2 Data Link Configuration
microLink supports many versatile and robust integration options for nearly limitless possibilities and greater compatibility with your fleet.
The diagram below is a typical microLink configuration.
Plug and Play with PixHawk AutoPilot
microLink’s robust architecture integrates seamlessly with the PixHawk autopilot to not only command your aircraft but also to receive precise GPS timing data for our advanced frequency hopping algorithm.
Fail-safe Operations
Inside every tiny microLink are not one, but two radios, each with their own external antenna. This diversity in architecture increases reliability, increases range, and protects against signal blockage from the airframe.
The GPS timing-synchronized frequency hopping radios use the full range of spectrum from 902-928MHz. Frequency hopping protects against external interference by reducing the reliance on any one frequency.
Extend Range with skyStation
Antenna performance makes all the difference between short-range and true BVLOS operations.
While two microLink radios can be used, optimum performance is achieved when the microLink Airborne Radio System (ARS) is paired with the optimized skyStation Ground Radio System (GRS).
skyStation multiplies your effective range to 12 miles line-0f-sight with internal dual, optimized radios and antennas. Protected by a weatherproof IP67 enclosure and utilizing Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, skyStation can be permanently deployed infrastructure or mounted or deployed with your mobile Ground Control Station (GCS)
Mission Monitor
Never be caught by surprise by a lost link. microLink’s mission monitor application provides continuous connection status, signal integrity, and health of both ARS and GRS radios. With this critical capability, your Pilot in Command can make critical decision prior to lost link.
Precision Timing
microLink and skyStation use GPS UTC timing for its precision frequency hopping algorithm. While skyStation includes an internal GPS, microLink can receive GPS timing from your autopilot, or a dedicated high-quality GPS such as the uAvionix truFYX or the ProfiCNC Here+ GPS.
